1 | Wed Apr 11 21:22:41 2007 | Anonymous | 6.40 | Nothing has changed decor wise for this newly re-opened restaurant, this is not a bad thing as it has its own character and charm ( but 9 months of being closed is evident by the musty smell). Chairs are incredibly comfortable, service was great ( owner was our waitress). We started with freshly baked bread hot out of the oven-simply amazing, cesar salad ( bagged lettuce ruined the homemade dressing and croutons-you must use fresh to impress). Veal Marsala as our main course. The most tender veal I have ever tasted, but the marsala reduction was missing that distinct marsala flavour, the roast potatoes were old and tasted like last years crop ( two pieces had black rot througout them ( quality control !!!!!) asparagus was perfectly cooked and served with a sunny side up fried egg on top.(odd ?) Finished with a very good cup of coffee and a piece of 3 day old tiramsu. The food was over priced- wine was $12.00 a glass, and tiramsu was $8.00. Bring down the price especially on all the extras, serve only fresh ingredients and they will have a very loyal following. |
