We stood at the door waiting to be seated for 15 minutes eyeing the table for 4 outside and two table for 2 that were empty. It was about 8:30pm and the place was full otherwise. None of the staff acknowledged out presence. In fact, two of the staff pushed their way by us through the narrow entrance without a word. The last straw was when a couple arrived 10 minutes after we had been waiting and went to the bar to ask for a table. The waitress looked at us - an average well-dressed couple, then at a table with a family just leaving, cleared the table and gave it to them. I left for the Peninsula Chinese Restaurant next door where I was immediately greeted with a smile, seated and served a delicious meal. I will never go to Roman's again. |
