Niagara peninsula lovers of excellent Italian cuisine have been enjoying D'Intino family dishes since 1983, with Big Marco's. In announcing their exciting new restaurant, Spagucci's, the D'Intino family wishes to thank their many followers for loyalty, spanning nearly 2 decades. If one word had to describe Spagucci's, which takes its name from the thin, flat, delectable pasta Grandmother Maria Deramo translates as spaguccini, it would be artful. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing, from the original frescoes and Impressionist-school paintings on imaginative European food and drink themes, to giant jars of marinating olives and infinite pasta varieties to classical music discretely humming in the background; to the indoor garden of grape vines and greenery and finally to an original menu without peer. Spagucci's achieves intimacy with a clever, comfortable arrangement of booths in spacious room of cool green, teal blue and burgundy shades overlooking the woods which shelter the restaurant from the hustle and bustle of less fortunate beings. The dining area is smoke-free or you may feast in the grappa bar, another sophisticated Mediterranean environment done in earth toned tiles and terra cotta shading. |
