The river cafe is based on the premise of treating every guest as they would treat their own family members at a get together in their own homes; with compassion, with a loving approach, and with a personal touch that is reminiscent of mom's home cooking mixed with the delicious recipes of great cooks. The fair trade coffee is superb, and the cause behind it supports women gaining freedom in other nations. The lunch menu is always changing. . . So be sure to ask for the daily specials. . . . . The sweets are sweet. . . . Need i say more? they have also started catering to special functions in their ambient space, as well as elsewhere in private parties. Their prices are very reasonable, and they donate a portion of what they take in to helping less fortunate individuals in the community. When visiting historic downtown owen sound. . .
