A Guelph tradition for over 100 years If restaurant walls could talk. . . Vienna restaurant dates back to the early 1900's, located originally at 16 Macdonell street then in the 1960s, located to its current home at 28 Macdonell street. Vienna is known to be one of the oldest running restaurants in Guelph, if not Canada. It has served soldiers of both world-wars before they entered and returned from over seas service. Many local artists, politicians, police officers and fireman have frequented the diner over the years. Vienna has always been known for its schnitzel, fine baked goods and famous breakfast, which still today are the popular items. |
